Case Study: Austin Music Network
The Austin Music Network, a local music television station funded by the city, was targeted for loss of funding along with several other city programs in 2003.
Kristy Ozmun Public Relations was brought in to solidify the relationships between network leadership and Austin opinion leaders and decision makers, as well as to show that the network was both valued by the Austin community and valuable to the city as a marketing tool.
By obtaining media coverage for several Austin Music Network benefits and other events, we were able to illustrate Austin community support for the network. Through an email newsletter, we kept local opinion leaders informed of the positive coverage the network received. As a result of our efforts, the network received funding from the city, in a very tight budget year.
