The firm’s founder, Kristy Ozmun, formerly served as Director of Public Affairs for the H-E-B Grocery Company. Since her tenure with the highly regarded retailer, she has often worked on behalf of retail companies and other consumer-driven businesses, as well as technology and services clients. In addition, she serves as a volunteer board member and public relations advisor for a number of charitable organizations.
Caitlin Dyess is a fourth-year Public Relations major at The University of Texas at Austin, and has joined KOPR as an intern for fall 2017.
She hopes to pursue a career in sports media, and looks forward to learning more about communicating through social media and other online platforms. After graduation, she hopes to work with an NHL or AHL hockey team.
Caitlin enjoys participating in the Public Relations Student Society of Austin, and in her free time she likes to attend Texas Stars hockey games, reading and going to the movies!
Trey Alvarez, Intern
A senior Public Relations major at the University of Texas at Austin, Roberto has joined KOPR as an intern for the fall of 2017.
Following graduation, he hopes to pursue his interest in media relations in Austin and around the world, perhaps in the nonprofit sector. Previously Roberto worked with the Vocational Agriculture Teachers of Texas Credit Union for three years, where he gained experience in agricultural finance. Roberto hopes to return to school in the coming years to seek a Master’s degree in Mass Communication.
During the summers Roberto likes to return to his hometown of Zapata, Texas to work as a tennis coach at the Hawk Tennis Academy.
In his free time, Roberto enjoys fitness, spending time on the tennis court. or just throwing a Frisbee. Floating down the San Marcos River is a favorite activity, along with hiking in Central Texas.
A senior Public Relations major at the University of Texas at Austin, Maddy has just returned from a semester abroad in Wales. She joins KOPR as an intern for fall, 2017.
She is currently pursuing a Business Foundations certificate and completing the Moody College Senior Fellows Honors program. On campus, she plans speaking and music events through Events and Entertainment committees and works as a live content coordinator for her campus television show, “Sneak Peek”. She hopes to go into publicity after graduation and is specifically interested in promotional events and content marketing.
In her free time, Maddy loves watching movies and aims to have a near-encyclopedic level of film knowledge. She also enjoys nature hikes, travel and hopes to explore Austin as much as possible before graduation.
